We use a combination of GC-MS and LC-MS/MS methods to provide a complete terpene profiling (up to 43 terpenes) of cannabis, hemp, and derived samples.

Terpenes and terpenoids are non-psychoactive aromatic compounds or essential oils that contribute to the scent, flavour, and colour of cannabis. Combining terpene profiles with cannabinoid profiles provides a unique chemical fingerprint of products which is useful in designing new products.

Also, recent studies have shown that the combination of terpenes is the major contributor to the recreational experience of cannabis users and in that regard, the effect is very similar to the terpenes in wine or beer.
