Heavy Metals Analysis
The most advanced inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) platform is used to achieve part per trillion (ppt) level detection of heavy metals in various cannabis and hemp samples.
Cannabis and hemp plants have been shown to accumulate heavy metals from soil, water, air, or fertilizers if they contain metals. For example, cannabis products that are grown in facilities with lead-based paint or using a water supply that contains harmful elements, show very high levels of those elements in the final product.
Sigma offers comprehensive Heavy Metals testing, spanning from the ones required by regulation (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury) to a robust package of 15 heavy metals in cannabis and derived products.
