Dr. Kaveh Kahen
Co-founder, Chairman and CEO
With a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Dr. Kahen has spent his career on design, development, and applications of analytical instrumentation and testing methodologies which led to the invention of 9 US patents (currently used in several mass spectrometry products) and more than 80 international publications and presentations.
Before co-founding Sigma Analytical Services, Dr. Kahen held various leadership and executive positions at PerkinElmer including General Manager of Mass Spectrometry Business Unit, Sr. Director of Global Research Organization, and Principal R&D Scientist. More recently, he led the cannabis testing initiative in the legalized cannabis market in the US and Canada. Through this project, Dr. Kahen recognized a significant gap in cannabis and hemp science and testing methodologies and co-founded Sigma Analytical Services Inc. to address the scientific challenges of cannabis and hemp market.
Ashton A. Abrahams, MBA
Co-founder and President
Ashton is a serial entrepreneur who has started and/or grown several successful ventures across a variety of industries.
With an MBA and more than seven years of experience as a management consultant, he brings a wealth of knowledge and extensive skills in managing the challenges of growing businesses.
Ashton has been a university lecturer on project management and business and more recently led the strategy and execution of a multi-million euro international business development initiative that quadrupled the business turnover in less than three years.
His twenty years of experience in strategy development and implementation, business development, and business operations management alongside his entrepreneurial background, and C-suite level and cross-border experience have led to co-founding Sigma Analytical Services.
